Provide Children With Safety Money

Before leaving on vacation, go over some ground rules with any children that are going on the trip with you. It is a good idea to not only provide kids with some of their spending money, but also with some additional emergency or safety money. If the unfortunate happens and an older child becomes separated from their family, having a few extra dollars for food or transportation might mean the difference between a harrowing experience and an easily solvable circumstance.

Nothing can ruin a vacation faster than arriving at the airport, hotel, or other attraction of your choice and finding out that your plans have been changed or canceled without your knowledge. Everyone traveling should at some point confirm their flight information, reservations, and reserved tickets before leaving on a trip as this will give the best opportunity to make last minute changes when something can still be done to correct the issue.

Why You Should Have A Thumb Drive If You’re Traveling With A Digital Camera

Everyone who has ever traveled with a digital camera has always worried about the unthinkable happening: what would they do if their camera became lost or stolen? A great way to lessen the chance of losing valuable and sentimental photographs is by bringing a thumb drive with you. There are a number of places in most vacation destinations where travelers are welcome to use computers like in internet cafes and hotel lobbies. Every so often if you transfer photos from your camera to the thumb drive then you are protecting yourself from losing too many photos should your camera come up missing or stolen. You would still have most or all of the photos saved on your thumb drive. Similarly, if you travel with your laptop then you should regularly transfer your vacation photos from you camera to the computer as a way of saving them. This also frees up the camera’s memory card to take more photos.
