Where did you go in Australia?

Posted on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in Travel Tips

Where did you go in Australia?Have you ever gone off on holiday with the best of intentions to keep a journal but then come home with the alluring blank pages still pure and unadulterated; and then a few months later felt guilty when the name of that little place down by the waters edge where you watched the sunset totally eludes you?

Journey Jottings have developed an innovative little product that simply summarizes your trip by offering a pictorial map, upon which to dot your route or arrow in places visited, that is surrounded by a border of illustrated boxes offering just enough space to allow a few memorable moments to be jotted without being intimidating.

Whilst great for the non-travel writer, they are also brilliant for when going on a short-break where a full blown travel journal doesn’t quite seem warranted ~ or honeymooning, where journal keeping isn’t the priority but the memories are.

And if you are a journal keeper… They’re a fabulous keepsake that visually complements your tome as well as providing a really fun way for showing, sharing and illustrating your trip with others when you get home. ;-)

Journey Jottings offer an Australia Map Journal for your personal account and also a Mail-It Map for keeping family and friends posted – more than a Post Card, less laborious than a letter!

Most maps tell you where to go… Journey Jottings help you remember where you’ve been!

AUSTRALIA The Move - Australian Promotional PosterThe film grossed $AU6.37 million in its opening weekend in Australia, setting the record for the highest grossing opening weekend for an Australian film and bumping the latest James Bond movie Quantum of Solace to second place. Australia’s ticket sales overseas is about $82 million from 51 countries, with the top market, Australia with $23.1 million after five weekends. It opened at No. 1 in Spain, France and Germany but at No. 3 in Britain.

Surprising box office analysts, the film opened #5 in the U.S. behind Quantum of Solace, Twilight, Bolt, and Four Christmases, respectively, with $20 million. However, Fox officials are happy with the numbers, as they said they were expecting only an $18 million opening gross for the movie.  They further pointed out that Baz Luhrmann’s other films, like Moulin Rouge!, Strictly Ballroom, and Romeo + Juliet, started slowly and then built momentum. Bullo River Station is in the northwestern corner of the Northern Territory near the Western Australian border. Encircled by the coffee coloured waters of the Victoria River and rugged hills inscribed with Aboriginal rock art, this vast property is not only home to around 9000 Brahman-cross cattle but also a stunning variety of local fauna species including wallabies, dingoes, wild buffalo, a myriad of native and migratory birds, fish and the omnipresent crocodile.
