Often some of the best experiences had during a vacation are found some distance away from the hotel or resort. Many times the eating establishments that are away from the more tourist filled areas are of a more authentic quality too.
So don’t be afraid to trek off to see a fabulous waterfall, visit an open air marketplace, see a rural community, visit a national park, go to a far off museum or art gallery, and more… the swimming pool will still be there when you get back.
